Abstract

Public health problem was the one of strategic issues in the country. Based on the former data, there were no informations about public health services demand and what faktors that related to this, especially in Puskesmas Cilandak Jakarta Selatan 2008. The aim of reserch were to know the public health demand form and faktors that related to its. The research was conducted using cross sectional design or a cross-sectional descriptive. Cilandak districts are divided into 5 (five) villages, each village was taken from the 20 respondents to the random sampling of each house number multiple of 10 so that the total sampling of 100 respondents and the research was conducted in October 2008. In the bivariate results obtained 7 (seven) variables no association with the public demand for health services in the region of Cilandak district health center in 2008 which includes: a variable offer formal education (p value 0.14) 0r = 1.00 95% CI: 2.00, Type of work (p value = 1.00 0r 0:56 95% CI: 2.00, Guarantee health care (pvalue 0.20) 0r = 0.39 95% CI: 31.54, Long waiting service (pvalue 0:46) 0:52 0r 95% CI: 2.60, Ability to pay (12:43 p value) 0r = 0.60 95% CI: 3:26, Willingness to pay (p value 0:23) 0r = 0.71 95% CI: 3.89, need for health services (p value 0.36) 0r = 0.20 95% CI: 3.94. But in multivariate statistical tests using logistic regression analysis found an independent variable associated with the demand that is variable with the value of formal education courses (p value 0.05) 0r = 0.63 95% CI: 12:39 to 1:10, which means respondents with higher formal education the lower the utilization existing health care facilities. Instead respondents with low levels of formal education will be 6 times more likely to utilize health care facilities (> 2 times a year) in the working area Cilandak district health center in 2008.
